Something that puzzled me before I learned why it happened. To avoid this in future, and for other users, I make a feature request.
MyOwnNotes does sync text files, but in the menu it does not present those text files as such, but lists all the first lines of their data. This can lead to confusing if either the file name or the first line get changed.
Renaming of files on the PC for instance will produce duplicate entries in MyOwnNotes (because the new file gets synced, but contains the same first line as the original file. Also, MyOwnNotes does not do the delete (renaming is copying to a new name, followed by a delete of the old one).
Therefore I humbly suggest the introduction of a "hambuger menu" with options, one of them being the delete, another would be renaming, a third could be info about the file, of info about the app).
