my employer used to have a OwnCloud installation running. Previously, this was with the basic authentication (username/password). This worked well for over a decade both with the Android OwnCloud client and MyOwnNotes.
Now the company has switched to two-factor authorization. I could manage to do this in the OwnCloud app (with a TOTP from FreeOTP). So I can access the cloud.
But MyOwnNotes won't do. It only displays the username that the OwnCloud app generated (very long, but it is correct). And it asks for "the password". But it doesn't take it... I tried the one I used with the OwnCloud app (in the last step before entering the TOTP and some others. I always get back to the screen that asks for the password...
This is version 2.0 (via F-Droid) (OwnCloud app 4.2.0).
Thanks

To be sure that I got no hiccup in the password, I deleted the acccount in Android account mgt, deinstalled FreeOTP, re-installed FreeOTP, created a new superpassword and scanned the QR of the OwnCloud once again. Access to the OwnCloud via the OwnCloud client works once again.
But, still not in MyOwnNotes! It displays the long username, as created in Android account mgt, and asks for a password. It does not accept the superpassword, and it does not accept the local authorization to the OwnCloud (the one you have to authenticate first, before the 2FA mechnism comes up - previously that was the only dialog), which is my domain username and PW here.
