Строка: Например, блок head может содержать логотип (logo), форму поиска (search) и блок авторизации (auth).

Блок head не может содержать в себе контент, возможно здесь нужно сказать о блоке header?

Речь о блоке head, а не о тэге . Однако название блока странное.
