Is this project dead ? #226
Comments
Up to you - I review the repo every 2/3 months as it's something I've not used for many years (so you could say "not actively maintained"). If someone wants to take ownership of the plugin over, I'm happy with that |
Will you marge the pending pull requests (especially the ones that fix bugs) ? |
Sure - I'll review them this evening and get them merged for you. As I said, I won't be constantly working on this plugin, so if anyone wants ownership, let me know. |
This plugin already works quite well, so I think it's okay. But it's indeed would be great if at least PRs will be reviewed and merged. Btw, why it's not used anymore? Switched to Webpack or Gulp? |
I built it about 3 years ago at a place where we used Grunt, but since leaving, I've been using Gulp or Webpack ever since. v1.x.x of this plugin was changed to act more like https://github.com/sindresorhus/gulp-rev as it's a better approach IMO, but I've had quite a few requests to add features back in again because users didn't like/understand the approach that the plugin takes and it didn't fit in with their build. As I don't use this anymore, I didn't bother trying to convince people anymore so my attention dropped from it. I'll try to keep a close eye on it in future - will add a monthly reminder to my calendar |
Just merged 3 fixes which have been added to the change log. New version is |
I see. Probably it's time for us to move on too :)
Well, people always complain. We've always used your plugin in Kotsu and never had any issues after switching to 1.x.x too. Thanks for tremendous work! Anyway, time of Grunt seems to be slowly perishing after all.., |
It has pending issues and pull requests, but no activity for several months. Is this project dead ? Should we avoid to use it in production ?
