Hi,

I am quite new to RUST programming and I need help in compiling the examples under BGPKIT-parser. I did try rustc and ended up with many errors. Any way to build the same ?

Most of the Rust projects does not directly use rustc for compilation, they use cargo install.

To build, try cargo build (or cargo build --release).

How about building the examples ? Looks like cargo build takes care of only creating bgpkit-parser.

Actually I am trying to build the "real-time-routeviews-kafka-openbmp.rs" in order to parse live kafka stream from routeviews. I tried the same using bgpreader and found that BMP entries from a particular router for e.g. linx are not sequential similar to the way they are stored in a MRT dump files.

cargo run --example real-time-routeviews-kafka-openbmp should build and run the example. It works with current version on the main branch (should work with previous versions too) (the repo is undergoing some major construction for improvements).

Thanks @digizeph I am able to run the example application.

As mentioned in example, where can I get the list of Kafka topics for e.g. routeviews.linx.6830.bmp_raw supported by routeviews ? Is there a webpage or document listing the same ?
