[beta-3.3] Switching between branches can lose code changes #196

Here's where it's falling down--sometimes I flip back to the previous
name and no changes have been committed to it, i.e. the intermediate
state that I expected to be saved when I changed names didn't get
saved under that old name, it's just gone. Does it only save when you
exit, or try to run, or run without errors, or successfully solve all
stages, or... ?
