Is your feature request related to a problem?

I have seen the requests for lowered mushroom and flower field enderman spawnrates, but I still seem to have an infestation. It would be nice to alleviate this issue with a way, such as light level detection, to prevent endermen from teleporting nearby.

As it is, my home has been invaded by these creatures.

As a side question, is there a list of which ones are hostile somewhere? Mushroom Endermen don't attack me at all, neither do flower field ones, but I understand they're meant to be passive. Ice ones do, but I haven't encountered any other variants as of yet to test their moods.

Solution(s)

Solutions could be a new block that prevents teleportation abilities, requiring blaze powder or another "unlockable" substance acquirable in large quantities in mid-late game, like prismarine or chorus fruit (giving a use to chorus fruit would be awesome).

Light level detection could be a way to do this in a vanilla friendly way. Or pehaps the light level spawning checks for mushroom and flower field enderman are wonky because they spawn on the surface in their respective biomes at any time of day, meaning higher light levels don't do much even when 100% artificial.

Restricting them to night only would be a fix, or making them spawn in daytime using the sunlight value rather than the block light value, and otherwise only spawn in dark areas like normal monsters? I'm not sure how spawning interacts directly with the sunlight value, I'm aware that sunlight just contributes to block light.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Manually reducing spawn rates with mods like Bad Mobs - this wouldn't fix the issue, only make it less of a problem all the time.

Completely disable spawning with mods like Bad Mobs - again, not ideal, I like these dudes, just not in my home.

Install a teleportation/spawn prevention mod like the magnum torch mod - not ideal because it messes with other mobs as well and I like being unsafe :)

Using World Edit to alter the biome inside and adjacent my base - not ideal because this could be catastrophic for the surrounding area and the interior of the mountain. To reduce risk of permanent destruction of biome borders, I'd need to use the cherry grove biome, which would just replace the mushroom endermen with the flower field endermen.

Additional context

I am using Terralith, so these mobs are spawning in Terralith mushroom cave biomes. I've dug into a cliff face and part of the cliff, of course, is this biome. There seems to be no way to stop the spawns as long as the biome stays the same.
