Would it be possible to provide rpm packages for Red Hat based Linux distros ?
E.g. Centos 6.5.
It's common in the Linux world to see both options.

We currently have various backlog cards (e.g. https://trello.com/c/lgGBOu2z) for making "official" Linux distros, though it would probably be awhile before we did that. In the meantime, we have #5021 to make an official .tar.gz distribution so that it would be easier to make (unofficial) packages, and it looks like some work is being done on that in adobe/brackets-shell#433 right now, so hopefully at least that will get done.

Closing as move to backlog.
