Install http://nodejs.org/ , verify your version in command line typing node --version (Current Version: v0.10.24) and try again.

@randelic If you're still experiencing this issue, please try opening a Brackets debug console (Debug > Show developer tools) and copy its contents here. Thanks

I have the same issue yet I have node 0.10.24 installed.

OS: Linux
Brackets sprint: 35

The problem is that sometimes brackets cannot to brackets-node (see issue 6282)

EDIT: After restarting Brackets multiple times, it works.

I am having the same issues of getting nodejs extensions installed for Sprint 35 of brakctes and tried with sprint 36 too, looks like a known issues is there is a possible workaround ?

looks like i could manually download the extension and unzip into the extensions folder which worked, thanks

@pmuthyala There shouldn't be any difference whether the extension is installed via registry or manually. If this happens to you always, maybe you could help here:adobe/brackets#6491
