Creating a front end button to open the global images tab

Hi

I have stumbled across this plugin in my scoping to integrate a shared media library for my multisite. I have it up and running locally, and it works great if I'm editing as an admin. However, my users have a seperate UI from the front end to create their posts. How would I go about adding a button into this template that opens a modal with access to the global media tab?

The media modal that appears from the current button does not have the global media tab, even though it is working as a super admin going through the default wordpress posting template.

Any direction would be appreciated!
