Introduction of conditional choice clears prior inputs

Describe the bug

Cf. the following upgrade from aws-dynamodb-connector-4.json connector to aws-dynamodb-connector-6.json. As a result of the upgrade

The upgrade adds a choice in authentication mechanisms and sets a default value for authentication type to credentials. This should lead to the previous inputs to be preserved, however, when applying the update, the prior values are lost:

Steps to reproduce

1. Migrate task with authentication details from aws-dynamodb-connector-4.json to aws-dynamodb-connector-6.json
2. See that prior input is lost

Expected behavior

Input is kept, default value authentication method is set to whatever has been the default in the past.
