Two natural strains are available working in collaboration with Stanford and the California Academy of Sciences. We would like to print with these strains using BioArtBot, and make them available for general use with the BioArtBot platform.

To do this, the following must be done:

  • Ensure the strains can grow on LB media, or if they can't, determine the media they can grow on
  • Get the strains to Counter Culture Labs and store them (If appropriate, in the -80C freezer)
  • Add the strains and colors to the color database on bioartbot.org
  • Test a print with the strains, both individually, together, and together with our existing E. coli strains
  • Create glycerol stocks of the strains if possible so that they can be used in future prints
