Support for numeric compound styles

Do developers have any plans to support the numeric compound styles?

This citation style is quite prevalent in chemistry journals. Understanding the complexities involved in such an implementation, I would greatly appreciate any information regarding the plans in this regard.

Adapting the CSL citation processors to support numeric compound styles would be very difficult given their current structures, so I do not anticipate support for this type of style coming to CSL in the near future. Support for this format is a long-term goal for CSL.
