<h1><a id="ardublockly" class="anchor" href="#ardublockly" aria-hidden="true"><span aria-hidden="true" class="octicon octicon-link"></span></a>Ardublockly - Arduino programming using functional blocks</h1>
<p>
<a href="http://ardublockly.embeddedlog.com/">Ardublockly</a> is a visual programming editor for Arduino. It is based on Google's <a href="https://developers.google.com/blockly/">Blockly</a>,
which has been forked to generate <a href="http://www.arduino.cc">Arduino</a> code.<br/>
The ArdublocklyServer Python package initialises a local server to be able to compile and load the Arduino code using the <a href="http://www.arduino.cc/en/main/software/">Arduino IDE</a>.<br/>
This is all packaged in a self contained executable desktop application for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.

<h2>ArduBlockly installation</h2>
<p>
At first, you need to install Python 2.x from <a href="https://www.python.org/downloads/">Official Python web page</a> and <a href="http://www.arduino.cc/en/main/software/">Arduino IDE</a>.<br/>
Then download the <a href="https://github.com/AtmelUniversityFrance/ardublockly/archive/mchp_atmel.zip">Atmel by Microchip ArduBlockly zip archive</a> and extract it on your computer.<br/>
</p>
<h2>ArduBlockly usage</h2>
<p>
Open a command line (shell) in the folder where you extracted or cloned our repository content and then run 'python start.py'. Your default web browser should open on the <a href="http://localhost:8000/ardublockly/">local web page</a> provided by ArduBlockly Python server.<br/>
Before beginning using ArduBlockly, you have to configure the Arduino IDE path and the board you intend to use in the settings (click on top-left icon, at the left of Microchip logo, and settings).
