What’s the blog about?

OECD has recently started reporting CRS data in the IATI standard, using version 2.02

I imported one in d-preview and it almost works except the data isn't in version 2.02 and looks like a mixture of version 1 and 2.
Furthermore, it didn't pass the validator.

But this made me curious to see what the entire CRS data looked like in d-preview so we imported all of it and you can now view over half a million activities of CRS data on d-preview.

What’s the goal of the blog?

Joining up data can really help to improve data quality.

We've had CRS data in our tables for comparison on d-portal since its first inception but this came with caveats; the data had to be calculated manually by a business analyst and updates happened after strings of back and forth email chains.

It is incredible that this translation effort happened, considering how you previously had to download a huge spreadsheet and scrape for CRS data. Being able to view non-IATI data in IATI format is eye-opening!

Ultimately, it would be great to get OECD to fix the issue of getting their data in the right version and validating it so it is useable for others.
