I was playing with the Docker Demo and did start/stop docker multiple times. After a restart, I could not start the KSQL server:

ksql-server-start /etc/ksql/ksqlserver.properties > /tmp/ksql-logs/ksql-server.log 2>&1 &
[1] 9
root@7531acb7a2ec:/# bash: /tmp/ksql-logs/ksql-server.log: No such file or directory

After a manual mkdir /tmp/ksql-logs server did start up. Server should be able to create this directory automatically.

Just realized that KSQL does not create the directory but it's the pipe command. Not an issue.
