Problems reprojecting a dataarray to LAEA

Hi,

I'm trying to learn rioxarray in order to use it for reprojecting and clipping NWP model data defined in EPSG:4326 unto regions defined in LAEA. Here's an example:

da_laea = da.rio.reproject(epsg_code)

gives the following error:

Exception has occurred: CRSError
The WKT could not be parsed. OGR Error code 6
rasterio._err.CPLE_BaseError: OGR Error code 6

During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred:

    da_laea = da.rio.reproject(epsg_code)
              ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
rasterio.errors.CRSError: The WKT could not be parsed. OGR Error code 6

Been searching for a clue as to why this is failing but coming up short. I'm using the latest versions of xarray and rioxarray in python 3.11.

I suspect you likely have a corrupted development environment.

What happens if you change this to:

da.rio.write_crs("EPSG:4326", inplace=True)

Side note: Using PROJ strings and +init=EPSG:XXXX style are not recommended. Instead, WKT2 strings and EPSG:XXXX without +init= are preferred ref.
