I have been performing upgrades several times. After upgrading, crowdsec on pfSense usually starts by itself which is a good thing. However, there are two issues:

  1. the "firewall remediation" shown on status is off. I have to go to the Services-->Crowdsec and save the setting again (which basically restarts crowdsec) and it is then on
  2. the "profiles.yaml" is reverted to default, i.e., no notification. Before the upgrade, I modified the profiles.yaml to send notifications via email. After the upgrade, it was replaced by a default one

I'm not sure whether it is a bug, or I've done something wrong during the upgrade.
My upgrade step:

  • remove the old packages (I was told it was not necessary, but I did it)
  • install new packages
