API: is there a way to check if shape.frame refers to a video or set of images?

I'm using Python high level API:

client.projects.retrieve(project_id).get_tasks()[0].get_annotations().shapes[0].frame

The frame attribute can refer to a video frame or a single image in a list of images.

I'm aware of frame meta:

project.get_tasks()[1].get_meta().frames

sample:

but how to reliably check if frame==0 refers to first frame of a video or first image in a list without checking filename extensions?
