I would like to be able to display node labels above the nodes they are attached to, instead of the default positioning to the right of the node. Is this possible? Ideally I would like to be able to achieve this without having to create completely custom node symbols
I think a nice interface for this functionality would be the ability to specify the angle and distance a label is from the center of its node (or alternatively x and y offsets).
For example, I am trying to create a graph that looks like this:
