Displaying events page in columns is unwieldy

For example, if you look at the massive list of 2016 events, it makes a super tall column. We might want to consider a different way to display this information at some point.

We could consider hacking it into three or four columns just broken at a given month; MVP but would look better right now.

This still could use a redesign though. There should be a more delightful UX for this page.

I think the right way to do this may be to divide up each year to be displayed like the current year.

Something like:

An MVP attempt at fixing this is in #655. I think it's enough of an improvement that I'd like to put it in place, though suggestions are welcome.
