First of all, thanks for the great plugin.

Our Moodle team received feedback that it would help if it was possible for teachers to sort/filter diary entries by the first letter of first and last name, like people in "Participants" section of a course.

Would this be a huge development task or something that could be added in the future? Please see attached image as an example.

My first thought was that this is a reasonable request and should be fairly easy to do, but then I went and started investigating. It might be a bit more difficult than I thought, but I will add this request to my TODO list. Might take a while as I am right in the middle of adding a bunch of other "new stuff" to the Diary code.

Just out of curiosity and based on Google Translate telling me that, Päiväkirja, is Finnish for Diary, are you in Finland?

That is correct, and yes, I am :)

The reason I asked, is that in the background, Diary does use a couple of files that are specific to English. They pluralise.php and syllables.php. If you look through those and see anything that needs to be changed for Finnish, let me know and I will try to accommodate them.

I guess they've been "close enough" so far, but I'll look into it at some point and will also keep my ears open if anyone brings this up, thanks.
