Report via mail:

How can I clear eduvpn's profile at eduVPN client for OSX (from Apple Store)?
I tried to delete the apps and reinstall it again, but the old configs are still there.

I think it would be nice to remove all data (certificates, OAuth tokens, application cache, configurations, ...) automatically on un-install.

There is no hook to do this programmatically on uninstall. (Uninstall on macOS is: 'drag app to the Trash'.)

The manual steps are:

  1. Quit the app
  2. Navigate to ~/Library/Containers
  3. Find the folders that start with the bundle identifier:

eduVPN

org.eduvpn.app
org.eduvpn.app.LoginItemHelper
org.eduvpn.app.TunnelExtension

Let's Connect!

com.commonscaretakers.letsconnect.mac
com.commonscaretakers.letsconnect.mac.LoginItemHelper
com.commonscaretakers.letsconnect.mac.TunnelExtension

Note 1: The Finder shows a folder with the app extension as an app, so the org.eduvpn.app folder may look like an app with the name org.eduvpn.
Note 2: Depending on your usage not all folders may be present.

  1. Move those folders to the trash

Maybe we could add a "Remove all data" button under Preferences, this way there is at least the option to begin with a clean slate, before removing the app, or after reinstalling the app again.
