Can we use continuous profiling with elastic cluster/APM running in AWS kubernetes cluster (not in elastic cloud)?

Came across article stating that elastic has donated continuos profiling(eBPF) to otel.

We have elastic APM agent instrumentation with elastic search cluster managed by us.
Can we use continuous profiling agents in our servers (as per elastic documentation universal profiling only available for elastic cloud implementation) and get profiling data to our servers?
If so, could you help with any documents with process to install/configure profiling agents in kubernetes cluster?
