EuiOverlayMask click events don't fire when wrapping an EuiModal, probably due to the latter's focus trap. I've reproduced the issue in CodeSandbox: https://codesandbox.io/s/535z67412p?module=%2Fsrc%2Fcomponent%2Fcomponent.js
