Describe the bug
Horizontal scroll bar is not displayed on full screen if page contains more than 10 alerts

Version: 8.0.0-SNAPSHOT

Browser Details:
N/A

Preconditions

  1. Kibana should be running on 8.0.0 snapshot
  2. More than 10 alerts should be generated

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate to alerts table under security
  2. Click on full screen icon under alerts tab
  3. Observe that horizontal scroll bar is not displayed

Actual Result
Horizontal scroll bar is not displayed on full screen if page contains more than 10 alerts

Expected Result
Horizontal scroll bar should be displayed on full screen if page contains more than 10 alerts

What's Working

  • This issue is not occurring if alerts are less than 10

What's Not Working

  • This issue is also occurring on 7.17.0 SNAPSHOT

Was able to reproduce this issue locally on latest main and in 7.16.1. At this point it looks like an issue in EUI. Will reach out to them.

The issue seems to have been fixed in EUI elastic/eui#5557 and will be part of their 46.2.0 release.

There's a PR to bump EUI to 47.0 now. After that is merged to main, I'll see if that fixed this isse.

The fix mentioned above targets 8.2 and now there is another fix for this that targets 8.1 -> #125428

Fix is in 8.1 now, should be there in the next BC.

8.2 still ongoing.

We have validated this issue on 8.1.0 BC3 build. and found that issue is fixed. 🟢
