If a user is given access to multiple spaces, then provide the user an option to choose one or more favorite Spaces. If she selects only one Space, then no Spaces selector needed.

If the user's favorite Space has no saved objects, then the first page user sees should be Kibana home page, otherwise it should be Saved objects management page where they can pick the saved objects they worked on recently.

Many users use links to specific spaces so they don't go through the space selector everytime

If the user's favorite Space has no saved objects, then the first page user sees should be Kibana home page, otherwise it should be Saved objects management page.

you mentioned it is for non admin users, why do you think they should land in the saved object management page.?

In general I think end users can use url to land directly at a specific object or space,
I think it will be better to invest in default page setting per spaces which is a bigger problem for users who move frequently between spaces #26126

I don't think the current Kibana Homepage is what experienced kibana users want to see after landing in Kibana, although it makes sense for new users.

It should be a customized view or page that relevant to the user's experience with kibana. What displayed in the new home page/view should be customizable by the end user. The user might prefer to see a list of saved objects in Space, or an "admin page" etc... Looks like this issue will address the current Home page issue.

@jinmu03 we have #21640 to track the "user specific favorite space". If we wish to address the home-page aspect of this elsewhere, how do you feel about closing this issue?

I didn't realize there is already an issue created for this request. I will go ahead close this one.
