Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, from source, etc.):
download page

Describe the bug:

  1. when i try to search the visualization with name if there is an - in the name there is no result come back.
  2. also appear when i create a visualization and search the index pattern

i known this main because of the index pattern and visualize title is analized by standard analyzer ,
but i want to know if there any way to solve this problem

This is as you correctly stated because of the standard analyzer. I am not aware of any workaround. I've seen that topic pop up periodically, and wondered if there might be a better approach to how we index titles of saved objects. This is why I relabeled this for Platform, since this is not only a visualization specific problem, but basically a problem for all titles of all saved objects, I have equally often seen the same issue pop up for other saved objects (like dashboards, etc.)

One other part that I see users frustrated with often is that it's NOT split up by _ since that's a word character, and apparently a lot of people tending to name their saved objects like marketing_analysis and then cannot search for analysis and find results. I am not sure what the best approach would be to analyze those fields, but maybe someone else has good suggestions.

I also think we have already an open issue for that, but I am currently unable to find it.
