Steps to reproduce

During our last tests on a live voice broadcast, we observed some issues on playback

Outcome

What did you expect?

The playback should not be stuck on the buffering mode for unknown reason

What happened instead?

Here are some user feedback:

  • Playback didn't actually start on Android though. It just drops me at the end of the stream and even when I use the handle to scrub backwards it refuses to play.
  • After Buffering didn’t start play
  • The playback is stuck in buffering after having played some data (look like there is a pb on a chunk). I was able to jump later in the audio record, but as soon as I switch back to the position where the buffering happened, the playback is again stuck in buffering. I restarted and cleared the cache, then the payback was working

Should be fixed
We fixed other use cases of unexpected buffering : #7899
