Is there's a fix for this issue ? |
Happy almost 1 year anniversary to this bug! Hits the homeserver I admin too, also only with Element-iOS, as the others have reported. @githuberyt the solution for us was to disable recaptcha. I can see the phones connecting in our homeserver log but who knows, with the anti-tracking iOS stuff it's probably blocking analytics needed for recaptcha. My guess is that it's serving a second captcha after the first completed and the app doesn't support that. Without Google the spyware skynet tracking that recaptcha needs to work without a captcha or with maybe only 1 challenge it considers devices, specifically mobile ip addresses, a higher risk than a Google Chrome desktop user logged into all their Google accounts and whatnot. |
Hi, would also vote for fixing this issus. Within the android app is it possible but not in the iphone app. Or is in any other iphone app a fix for this? |
We have re-written the whole authentication flow and it now follows the Android implementation more closely. I'm going to close this as completed by #6469, but please do let us know if you're still seeing any issues. |
New homeserver, running Synapse in Docker. I have registration enabled and reCAPTCHA v2 with the checkbox. There seems to be a problem with iOS only, where trying to sign up just shows a modal dialog "Not supported yet". This doesn't appear on the desktop/web Riot.im client or the Android Riot client.
Happy to provide logs although I'm not sure where to find them.
