What happened instead?
Element Desktop Nightly is shown twice in the dock, one time as a launcher with the correct icon, and one time as a currently running task without a proper icon
Cause
Element Desktop Nightly sets the StartupWMClass of the window to
element-nightly
. The .desktop file for element desktop nightly specifiesStartupWMClass=element
. As these values differ, docks can’t know that the .desktop file and running application match.Operating system
