  • Verify in profile
  • I switch to a DM when initiating in a group room, so I understand that verification is user:user
  • Verification is supported by useful toasts
    • Inbound verification
    • Return to verification when tabbing away from it etc

The current verification flow doesn't support all the use cases in the design, specifically accepting the request without picking a method, and allowing both sides to pick a method. For this reason, Hubert wrote https://github.com/uhoreg/matrix-doc/blob/key_verification_accept/proposals/2366-key-verification-accept.md

Clients will need to implement this MSC to support the UX.
