Hello,
Would it be possible to provide a ppa for Ubuntu 16.04? The current one does not work.
Also, I tried installing the .deb and I get the following error:
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of qvim: qvim depends on libruby1.9.1 (>= 1.9.2.0); however: Package libruby1.9.1 is not installed.

The fastest way to get vim-qt is to build it from source.

Here is a way to automatically build latest version of vim-qt into Snap.
Tested on Ubuntu 16.04, should work on more recent versions or other Ubuntu flavors too, may work on other Linux distributions as well.
For me absence of channels/terminal is no-go :(
