Using multiprocessing channels caused BytesIO memory leak occasionally in Python 3.12 #270

  • PyCharm 2023.3.2 (Professional Edition)
  • CPython 3.12.0
  • pydev debugger (build 233.13135.95)
  • Fedora 37

The issue can be reproduced using below snippet

from multiprocessing import Pipe


def main():
    pipe_output, pipe_input = Pipe()
    pipe_input.send(0)


if __name__ == '__main__':
    main()

And the output:
SystemError: deallocated BytesIO object has exported buffers
