"Speed" is not time

In the chart, the y-axis is called "speed". That's actually the opposite, no?
Is it ms / batch (time per batch) or batch / ms (speed, throughput)?
For the first, the lower the better (less time, faster), for the second, the higher the better (quicker, less time).
