effect of --threshold ?

Changing --treshold to all kind of different values I don't really spot a difference in the resuliting video-stream. The result of combining background, foreground and webcam picture is not really great yet (body beeing shown half only with quite some flickering).

Can you clearify the meaning of --threshold and confirm it is still effective?
