I'm getting an error with runGdal in a script that has been running fine daily for months. I get the same error when using code from the documentation:

>runGdal( product="MOD11A1", extent="austria", begin="2010001", end="2010005", SDSstring="101")
Error in load(fls_col) : empty (zero-byte) input file

My sessionInfo and MODISoptions are below. I'd appreciate help troubleshooting this error!

I installed the latest version of R (4.0.5), installed the development version of MODIS, and updated all packages, but the issue has persisted. I have a script that uses MODIS to download LST and NDVI data nightly, and my log files show that the empty input file error started in mid-March. Any ideas about what might be causing this error with runGdal?

Today I did a clean install of R and RStudio. I manually wiped all files from .libPaths() before reinstalling. I still get the following error with runGdal:

Error in load(fls_col) : empty (zero-byte) input file
