I'm not entirely sure what the right approach would be there - this is testing whether we got a response back from the expression compiler, so I'm guessing some of the flakiness here is due to the latency of the request |

(Hopefully) fixes #8389
The initial fix was to add some retries. This test still seems to be occasionally flaking (although not nearly as often as it was before). This PR increases the number or retries.
