Is there anything @chef-brigade can do to help out? We're probably going to start using this in our infra, so we want to keep it awesome.

If you need any administrative help, want a slack channel, website, testing infra &c, just let us know. It doesn't need to have the brigade name anywhere on it.

@josephholsten a lot.
do you think migrating this to a different org will help? or adding new maintainer here? @fnichol thoughts.
my current pain point has been testing different platforms (i can take care of ubuntu/debian)..
@josephholsten thanks for reaching out :-)

@rex & @zarry have been helping with cross platform testing in https://github.com/chef-brigade/mongodb-cookbook, I'll see if they can take a look.

one of my painpoint with the existing test suite has been system resource limits,,, currently all specs are based on test kitchen ,, and all requires vagrant driver etc..if we can gather individual use cases across platform and just add it straight inside the recipe and put some audit using chef audit, that will ease the whole testing pain. We'll still have to build some consensus to get some API breaking changes done..

I forgot why we used this cookbook instead of https://github.com/chef-cookbooks/users in the beginning, but I'm thinking of switching because the other one is actively maintained. In case chef-brigade is still interested in this one, wouldn't it be more beneficial to not have two of the same around (unless of course, they target different user groups and do things differently, but as I said in the beginning, I can't remember why we used this one a few years ago.)

The other was missing features as I remember it. I'm in the process of getting ready to move on December 1. I'm hoping to have free weekends after that to dedicate here.

@theckman @aried3r @josephholsten what is the current status, shall https://github.com/chef-cookbooks/users be used or does this cookbook get maintained? Quiet some pull requests open and also #112 which is quiet anoying to deal with.

Any thoughts?

@EugenMayer, I have since switched to https://github.com/chef-cookbooks/users, the migration was quite easy, data bags were almost the same (in our case, we just had to remove the `ssh_keygen: "no") and the recipe usage is also quite easy.

Hope this helps!
