Question: If I have any ideas, will they be implemented?
Answer: QLog should be a community open-source project where volunteers participate. It shouldn't be a one-man project.

That's why every idea that comes up is welcome. Unfortunately, there are many requests, but the number of regular developers remains constant (1). I also acknowledge that I may not understand every problem in the ham radio area. However, I study everything that anyone sends to me. It's not a commercial project, it's just a free time activity.

Therefore, if you want to suggest a new feature for QLog, please ensure that your idea is well described, along with the reason why it should be implemented. The ideas to be implemented should bring benefits to the community, and there should be an available specification (document, source code) for each idea.

You can track the development of QLog online on Project Page. Every release has its own plan there. In Future Release, you can check whether your idea has not already been added to the list that is in the plan. This is also a place where new volunteers can find tasks if they want to contribute.

In general, I follow these rules during release-to-release cycle:

  1. If the issue is marked as a bug, it will be fixed
  2. If the issue is marked as an enhancement, it will most likely be implemented
  3. If the issue is marked as nice-to-have, it has the lowest priority to implement.
  4. Everything that is in currently developed release Project Page will be implemented
