Social Media Optimization (SMO)

Introduction

The main objective of the SMO (Social Media Optimization) is to provide a controlled corporate design on social network publications like twitter, facebook and so on. It increases also the visibility of map.geo.admin.ch related publications. It is strongly related to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) since it enables to detect the nature of the website content (a Geo Web Application).

HTML current meta-tags

In the HTML head, it is mandatory to have at least the first two tags:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Keywords
  • News_keywords

Twitter meta-tags

  • twitter:image
  • twitter:data1
  • twitter:label1
  • twitter:data2
