Markdown notices is flattening my nested lists and I'm not sure why.

The snippet of markdown code below

1. **Posture**
     1. **Make yourself as comfortable as possible with your back straight.** Do this whether you sit on a chair or a cushion on the floor.
     2. **Get your back, neck, and head in alignment, front-to-back and side-to-side.**
2. **Relax**
     1. **While maintaining a straight back, release any tension in the body.**
     2. **Relax your mind.**

with Markdown notices renders as

1. **Posture**
2. **Make yourself as comfortable as possible with your back straight.** Do this whether you sit on a chair or a cushion on the floor.
3. **Get your back, neck, and head in alignment, front-to-back and side-to-side.**
4. **Relax**
5. **While maintaining a straight back, release any tension in the body.**
6. **Relax your mind.**

whereas without markdown notices, it renders as

1. **Posture**
     a. **Make yourself as comfortable as possible with your back straight.** Do this whether you sit on a chair or a cushion on the floor.
     b. **Get your back, neck, and head in alignment, front-to-back and side-to-side.**
2. **Relax**
     a. **While maintaining a straight back, release any tension in the body.**
     b. **Relax your mind.**

Is there anyway to get the nested lists to work properly?

Thanks,

Sean
