This is a somewhat larger feature request.

It would a significant increase of tab-for-a-cause's utility for the user, if it would be possible to use integrations with other services.

An obvious use cases would be an integration with a specialized task manager to offer functionality similar to what is described in a recent (Feb 2018) lifehacker article.

While building such task-management functionality by gladly is obviously out of scope, building integrations with e.g. todoist would be awesome and might be cause a massive boost in the reach of tab-for-a-cause.

Continuing the thought:

A first version could show the open tasks of the next seven days with buttons to mark a task as resolved or to reschedule it?

Also, I think one would want some kind of abstraction layer, so that the effort to add and maintain integrations with other task-services is reduced.

Thanks for the issue! We're interested in integrating with other services, especially for things like to-do lists and notes. The main thing holding this back is that, as you pointed out, integrations will require some ongoing maintenance. We want to be sure we'll be able support a feature for the longer term.

Besides todoist, anything else come to mind as something you'd like to see?

Google calendar, a weather report, and even a calculator come to mind. I use the calculator widget on my mac and type equations into the url bar pretty often, so I would probably use a calculator on the new tab page if that was an option. Also a widget for google keep or other notes apps would be good because the notes in the new tab page don't sync to anywhere.
