I've freshened the repository and applied all of the changes from PR #1 except for actually publishing a package.

GS1 will need to discuss hosting of packages for this codebase. I'll have such a discussion in due course and advise on the decision or bring the discussion online here.

Note that GitHub Actions is enabled for the project repo, however it honours GitHub's default to not run workflows for new contributors. Any future PR's that you make should now run in CI.
