It's too bad Vintageous is discontinued, because it actually had a relatively comprehensive implementation of Vim. Sublime Six has a loooong ways to go. For example, even some of the most basic commands such as 'R' to replace text is missing.

In the mean time, the idea of 'actualVim' at https://github.com/lunixbochs/ActualVim seems to have more promise than completely re-inventing Vim within sublime again with Six.

I suggest you check out NeoVintageous which is an active fork for Vintageous with lots of bug fixes and new features.

Sublime Six is also not open source, or even source-available. It won't ever be a suitable replacement for Vintageous for that reason.
