Overview

We need to create a guide for giving qualitative feedback on designs, so that volunteers at Hack for LA can learn effective practices in design critiques.

Action Items

  • Research existing information about providing design feedback in relevant resources, online articles, etc.
    • Once done, remove the "Guide: Research" label and add the "Guide: Gather Examples" label
  • Gather examples and practices of other projects or volunteers regarding providing design feedback (if you can find)
    • Once done, remove the "Guide: Gather Examples" label and add the "Guide: Draft Guide" label
  • Create a draft guide, either in markdown format in this issue or a google doc in the [ux/ui google drive]
    • Once done, remove the "Guide: Draft Guide" label and add the "Guide: Review Guide" label
  • Review the guide with UX/UI community of practice
    • Once done, remove the "Guide: Review Guide" label and add the "Guide: Leadership Review" label
  • Present to the Hack for LA leadership team for sign off
    • Once approved, remove the "Guide: Leadership Review" label and add the "Guide: Place Guide" label

For devs adding this guide to the Toolkit page: the guide card Illustration and image credit information is in the Toolkit page Figma file (blue rectangle on bottom left)

@elizabeth-ux Are you still working on this guide? If so, can you convert it to a google doc? Do you still need peer review? Or if you want to be unassigned, let us know.

The draft looks good. The next step is making it consistent to the latest guide template (which has changed a little since this guide was originally developed.

@ExperimentsInHonesty It was peer reviewed months ago . I just saved is as a Google doc. I believe there were additional changes made after I added it to the Guides folder in Google Drive.

@elizabeth-ux do you want to keep working on it? Thought I better check before I start giving notes.

@elizabeth-ux had to step away for family responsibilities, if there is someone who wants to adopt this issue, that would be great.
