@katbyte so what's the resource name for a SQL Collection?

I see there's a resource for SQL Database https://www.terraform.io/docs/providers/azurerm/r/cosmosdb_sql_database.html but i don't see anything for Collections within that Database.

I don't believe you can create a SQL API collection, only a Mongo API collection, which is not what we want to do.

The change list for 1.28 has the following -

New Resource: azurerm_cosmosdb_table (#3442)
New Resource: azurerm_cosmosdb_cassandra_keyspace (#3442)
New Resource: azurerm_cosmosdb_mongo_collection (#3459)
New Resource: azurerm_cosmosdb_mongo_database (#3442)
New Resource: azurerm_cosmosdb_sql_database (#3442)
New Resource: azurerm_firewall_nat_rule_collection (#3218)

Nothing about cosmosdb-sql_collection.

@katbyte, can you comment?

Please add creation of the SQL Collection, should be pretty straight forward as it is very similar to Mongo.

This has been released in version 1.34.0 of the provider. Please see the Terraform documentation on provider versioning or reach out if you need any assistance upgrading. As an example:

provider "azurerm" {
    version = "~> 1.34.0"
}
# ... other configuration ...
