This issue was originally opened by @ChristianWeyer as hashicorp/terraform#17547. It was migrated here as a result of the provider split. The original body of the issue is below.


Currently it is not possible to create a Function App in a consumption plan, mentioned here:
https://www.terraform.io/docs/providers/azurerm/r/function_app.html

Is this planned and is there any ETA for this feature?

hey @ChristianWeyer

At the moment it doesn't appear this is supported in the Azure SDK for Go (which is generated from the Swagger in this repository). I've opened this PR which adds support for creating Dynamic App Service Plans - but we're unable to proceed with this until that's merged and available in the SDK, unfortunately.

As in the documentation - in the interim you should be able to use the azurerm_template_deployment resource as a workaround to provision these - although I understand this isn't ideal.
