Description

When creating a new Firebase project using the google_firebase_project resource, it would be nice to have the ability to either create the project in Native mode or have the ability to switch from Datastore to Native mode.

Currently, we have to manually do this from the console prior to executing the index creation resource google_firestore_index.

New or Affected Resource(s)

  • google_firebase_project

Potential Terraform Configuration

resource "google_firebase_project" "default" {
  provider = google-beta
  project  = google_project.default.project_id
  mode     = "Native"
}

Hey @anthony-johnson, I don't see any sort of option like that in the Firebase API. If you know how to do it using the API, that would help us be able to add that support!

Marking upstream in the meantime.
