I don't know if you do this on purpose, but I think sys_file_metadata.title should not be changed when rotating an image.

I tried reproducing the issue using a fresh TYPO3 8 installation, but was unable to do so. What version of TYPO3 are you using?

v8.7.24. I'll try to reproduce the issue in a different installation and get back to you.
